It's a Girl ! ! !

Last week we had our 20 week ultrasound.  Finally more pictures of Wooly Baby!  We were not planning on finding out the sex of our little bean.  Shaun tried to talk me into finding out the night before but I held my ground and said, "No, I want it to be a surprise!"  The next day (Shaun's birthday) we went to our appointment.  While anxiously waiting I said, "Ok, we can find out if you want to ....but we are NOT telling ANYONE!"  Shaun said ok and in we went.  As they were checking out Wooly Baby they showed us her heart, her brain, her kidneys, her diaphragm and finally the tech said, "are you sure you want to find out?"  

Yes!!!!  We do!

"It's a Girl" she said.  For some reason I was surprised, I for some reason always pictured our baby being a boy...not sure why but I did!  We were so excited!!!!!  They said that she was perfect and that everything looked healthy and as expected!!!!  Such great news!

As we were walking out we both decided that there was absolutely no way that we could keep this news a secret!  We were planning to tell everyone!

Shaun said it was the best birthday present ever :)

Onward with the planning!!!  This weekend we (Shaun) are going to be painting.  We have some major plans for the nursery.  Some include: painting the walls, painting the wood floor, restoring/painting an old dresser from when I was a child and various other DIY plans (I need to narrow my ideas down to something that makes sense - I have too many right now!)

And this last picture is for Sarah - who has been begging me to post a belly pic somewhere for about 8 weeks now!  Definitely not going on Facebook - but I'll post it here for my friends and family!!!

 We are in love already and can't wait until January 2012 to meet our precious little babe!
