Our First Thanksgiving in Bristol

We hosted Thanksgiving this year and Shaun smoked the turkey!  We had such a nice day with family and the food was so so good.  I had lots of help because we all know cooking isn't my strong area!  I am really good at making things pretty and I am really good at cleaning up!  Cooking?  Not so much! Thank you everyone for all of your help.  It was a group effort, for sure!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!

Happy Birthday & Happy Thanksgiving...

Thursday morning brought much celebration!  Shaun's Mom Shirley was celebrating her birthday and we were also celebrating Thanksgiving.  I decided to stay up late the night before and decorate my parents kitchen so that when Shirley woke up, she would be surprised with some birthday decorations.

After we had breakfast we left for Colin and Tracy's.  Shaun was already over there because he was smoking the turkey all night, my Mom went drove Harold and Shirley over.  My Dad went to pick Curt up and I finished up the caravan with the Bouvie Boys :)

Preparing the food went pretty good.  Everyone pitched in...I mashed potatoes, Shaun and Diane carved one turkey, Mom and Colin carved another turkey, Dad made drinks (bloody mary for Shirley), Tracy frosted her bundt cake... the list went on and on....

And the finished product was amazing...

So good in fact that it put half of our party into a food coma...

I had such a good time spending Thanksgiving with everyone and thank you to Colin and Tracy for hosting!
I am so thankful that I have such a great family and that we all enjoy each others company.

I was also so glad that Harold and Shirley could come up to spend Thanksgiving with us - it was a good feeling to have both of Shaun and mine's family together for a holiday.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving with family.

Christmas is only 25 days away....can't wait!!!!!
