Date Night

Date night this week looked a little like this...

 

and then a little of this...

Ok, so the pretty picture of the chicken parm above wasn't a picture of my masterpiece...it was still pretty good though :)  I didn't do all the prepping myself, I made Shaun cut the chicken a little.....what?  I CAN'T STAND doing that...

Shaun, being the awesome husband that he is, happily obliged!  

It was pretty tasty.  Then we bundled up, took Bear with us and went to East Peoria to drive through the Festival of Lights.  For a measly $5 the show was pretty spectacular.  Almost rivaling the Cuneo Museum lights up North.

With the windows rolled half down, frigid air spiraling in, the heater on blast, Bear hung his huge head out the windows and soaked it all in.  He loved it.  And, the little High School girls that took our 5 bucks thought he was adorable!

We really love doing our date nights.  We always try to surprise each other each week, taking turns as to who is in charge of the planning.   

By the way...this was my idea, just sayin' :) 

Well - Happy Saturday and I hope you are all able to drive through your own towns "Festival of Lights" ... it will be worth it, I promise!
