We had such a nice birthday weekend for Reese. We were so happy to be able to have so many close friends and family come over and celebrate with us! We loved having Gina & Steve here and to be able to introduce them to Harold and most of our family & friends. It was quite the celebration to say the least! We started out Friday night going out to dinner with Gina & Steve and my parents for a fish fry at the Colony House. Uncle Colin & Auntie Tracy came up to watch Reese and we may have played a little Cards Against Humanity (with our parents!!!) it was a pretty awesome time!
Saturday morning began the birthday party madness! It actually was pretty awesome - we had a ton of help between my parents, Gina & Steve and family & friends that helped bring food! We are so lucky to be surrounded by such great people! I attempted to keep it kind of low-key this year with the birthday party decor!
It was such a nice party - I can't believe that Reese is 2. She is growing into such a little girl - so energetic, funny, loving, creative and spunky! We cannot imagine our lives without her.
Something I should have started last year but didn't are interview questions. I thought it would be kind of cool to ask (or answer for her right now) her the same questions every year on her birthday. Here we go:
1. What is your favorite color?
Purple - or blue. These might be the only colors she can say right now, so we will go with that!
2. What is your favorite toy?
She really loves her husky stuffed animal right now. She also loves her taggie. She loves to kick or throw any ball around.
3. What is your favorite fruit?
She really likes bananas and grapes! Lately she has started eating whole apples, which she loves!
4. What is your favorite tv show or movie?
Over the Summer, she was obsessed with Tangled. She likes movies over shows.
5. What is your favorite thing to eat for lunch?
Hummus, cheese, toast with jelly
6. What is your favorite game?
Loves to hide behind a blanket or curtains, or just squeeze her eyes shut - she thinks she is hiding then!
7. What is your favorite snack?
yogurt covered raisins, graham crackers or "Momo's" which are goldfish (she calls Nemo Momo which translates over to the goldfish!!)
8. What is your favorite animal?
Doggies (Woof-woof)
9. What is your favorite song?
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
10. What is your favorite book?
The Night Night Prayer Book
11. Who is your best friend?
She has a lot but maybe her Grandpa Denny - they spend a lot of time together!!
12. What is your favorite cereal?
Berry Kix
13. What is your favorite thing to do outside?
Over the Summer it was riding on the bike with Mommy and playing at the park.
14. What is your favorite drink?
Mommy's lemonade when she gets a sip - otherwise it's just milk or water.
15. What is your favorite holiday?
She loved Christmas this year!
16. What do you like to take to bed with you at night?
More like what does she NOT like to take to bed! She loves to have her nukie, taggie, Husky, Merida, Zebra, Woody, Jessie, her purple unicorn, Woodstock.....the list goes on and on....basically, it's whatever she sees on the way up to bed! Of course, we don't let her sleep with all of that but she tries!
17. What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast?
Toast!!
18. What do you want for dinner on your birthday?
She would maybe say Macaroni and Cheese!
19. What do you want to be when you grow up?
At 2 I'm not sure she knows!
20. Imagine that you can become invisible whenever you wanted to. What are some of the things you would do?
She would play on Mommy & Daddy's bed all day, eat a million yogurt covered raisins and drink a lot of lemonade.

I am starting to learn how to drink from a regular cup like a big girl!

Go to sleep without my Nukie. She is also afraid of our employee Ron!
24. Name one thing you do really well?
She is good at helping Mommy pick up (usually) but she is also really good at whipping her milk bottle and food at the ground when she doesn't want it anymore!
25. Describe what it means to be a good friend.
You need to be able to share your toys and not push your friends!
26. What is your favorite time of day?
Probably when she wakes up from a good nap - she is usually in a good mood then!
27. Describe your best day ever?
Probably this past spring when she got to go to the Dominican Republic for Uncle Colin & Auntie Tracy's wedding and she got to play in the ocean and walk on the beach!
28. Describe your favorite hobby.
Snacking, dancing and giving hugs and kisses.

Something she can't do yet!

You only needed to snack all day and never actually eat a real meal.
31. What makes you feel sad?
Not too much.
32. What makes you feel happy?
I love playing with Mommy & Daddy on their bed. I also love going to the park and on walks. I also love playing in the yard with Grandpa on the gator and the lawn mower!
33. Pretend that you can fly whenever you wanted. Where would you go?
She would probably like to be able to fly out of her crib (at this point she still stays in there!)
34. If I could choose a different name, I would choose…
I'm pretty sure she loves her name!! Haha
35. Where do you want to go on vacation?
I think right now she would like to go to Ohio to hang out with Grandma Gigi & Grandpa Steve!
36. What is your favorite thing to do with Mom or Dad?
Definitely wrestling on Mommy & Daddy's bed - she just screams and keeps saying, "More...more..."
This next year will most definitely bring lots of action for our family. Reese keeps us on our toes! We love her so much and are so excited to watch her grow!
To keep in line with my New Years resolution - we have NO plans for this weekend!! Like - none. It will be nice to relax!
