Ok, so Fall was definitely in the air when Reese and I left for work this morning but not this afternoon - it's almost 80 out! I wish the weather would just make its mind up already. We are all ready for Fall and for trips to the apple orchard, boots, jackets, sweaters and scarves! Can you tell most of my excitement for Fall stems from fashion?!?! I can't help it, I am a sucker for everything Fall...it's my favorite season.
I thought I would give a little update on our munchkin since I haven't done that for awhile. Reese is officially 20 months old tomorrow! I have no idea where the time has gone but we have sure been having fun watching her grow into her own little person!
She has always been and continues to be a great little sleeper - we still get her to sleep from 7-7 most nights. At bedtime she likes to cuddle up with her purple taggie and listen to her glow-in-the-dark sea horse. She also still loves Violet - they are buddies. It is just so sweet when Reese gives hugs and kisses - and she is now giving close-mouthed kisses as opposed to the open mouthed ones she was giving for a really long time! She also has been loving her dolly that my Mom got for her, she hugs and kisses her lots! As most of you know already, Reese basically eats anything that is put in front of her but her favorites include: cheese (yes, still), bread & hummus, peas, mandarin oranges, corn, raisins and the occasional cookie or sweet! She is still only drinking milk & water and seems content with that :)
Reese is a very active toddler, she runs around everywhere and climbs on everything. SHe loves to play in the yard with her Grandpa Herchenbach and sometimes gets to mow the lawn with him! She loves her scooter and her pull wagon. She likes looking at books but they only keep her attention for about 10-20 seconds and then she is onto the next thing! How can I forget - she also really loves going on bike rides with Mommy and Grandpa. I am so glad we got her that forward-facing seat, she just loves it - we will go on a 2 hour bike ride and she is the happiest baby ever! She also lately has been really loving coloring with Grandma, she really just scribbles but she loves it!
She isn't talking too much but she does say Dada, Mama, More & No....we are working on it! She understands very well though and is very good about picking up toys and listening to us (usually!)
She is growing up way too fast! Here are some pictures from this morning in my parents backyard. She is obsessed with her new mocassins, even though it isn't really cold enough to wear them yet, she had to put on a show!
Happy hump day!
Check this YouTube video out if you never have, it is the funniest!
