Wedding Hair, Shamrock Shuffle and other random events

Another famous Friday night "Barn Party"!!!  I was so excited last weekend to get up to Gurnee around 3:00.  I got to leave work at 11:00 and miss all of the crazy rush hour Friday night traffic!

It was also nice to get up there early because I had not seen Shaun in a week and I also knew that the weekend was going to be jam-packed crazy :)
So - this is what & who the Friday night Barn party consisted of:

Then on Saturday morning I did some wedding hair for Dory's (Joelle's sister) friend.  I think they all turned out really well:

The bride!!!

Then I went home really quick to have some lunch and my wonderful husband was helping my Dad with their speakers.  He had a Carrier hat on!!! Too funny :)

Also - my Mom had on this really cute shirt for her Susan G. Komen walk.  Check it out:

She is walking 60 miles in 3 days...yes people 60 miles!

You can support her here

She is almost half way to her goal - please support the cause to fight breast cancer!

Then, for my final stop of the weekend - I was headed down to Chicago to go to the Shamrock Shuffle Expo with Jessie.  We somehow made the short trip to Nay Pier a 2 hour one and got back to her place starving!!!  We went to this amazing Italian place near her apartment.  It was really good :)

We went to bed early so that we could wake up ready and rested for the race the next morning.

Jackie drove up from Peoria to run too!!!  Jessie smoked us both but we had a really good time and met our goal of finishing time!  It was soooo hot out.  Felt like it was 80 when we were running.  That Michelob Ultra at 10:30 in the morning was pretty tasty!  Colin also ran the race - AND I somehow found him by Buckingham Fountain at the end...out of 40,000 some people, I was able to find him!  I was not able to take any pictures though because I didn't want to run with my camera.

All in all, it was a really good weekend. Crazy and busy but good!
