ISU roomies invade Pekin IL

It was so nice to catch up with these lovely ladies this past weekend:

Sarah & Evan came Friday night with Miss Emma bean.  She is getting so big.  The last time I saw her she was an itty-bitty new born and now she is a cuddly chunky monkey!!!

So - we were bad on Friday night and had some of these:

Check the bowls out Grandma - thank you for giving them to me!

After breakfast on Saturday Sarah, Emma & I chilled while the boys were off doing this:

Sarah, Emma and I hangin' out in the kitchen:

I also decided it would be a good time to hang up the "new artwork" my Grandma & Grandpa gave me when I was up in Wisconsin.  I think it goes quite well -

P.S. Here is the pic I promised you Grandma!

I have to throw these shots in of Misses & Buddy Bear:

Then around noon Katie came!  She couldn't wait to get her hands on Miss Emma!

Shortly after Erika, Anthony & Miss Isabella arrived!

We visited and hung out in the living room and before we knew it, it was time to eat!  Shaun smoked (4) whole chickens and I made macaroni & corn (Andrea's recipe), deviled eggs, salad, psotato salad and berry crisp for dessert.  Pretty domestic of me huh???  I am getting there, I am trying to learn how to cook :)

This is kind of a side note - but I thought this looked really awesome.  It is of our shelf in our family room.  The sun was setting and shining right in through the drapes onto our shelves.

After dinner we went on a little walk around the lagoon.  It was pretty chilly but still nice to walk and catch up a little bit!

We are no longer the party animals we were in college.  Evan went to bed before anyone else - Just got up and announced that he is old and he needs to go to bed!  And we were all passing out on the couch by about 11:00!!!

The closest we got to partying was our drinking a few beers while the sun was still up and taking a little "road drink" of wine while out on our walk.

That is okay though - our parties just look a little different now.  They include burp clothes, pacifiers, bottles, baby barrettes, doctor kits and pack & plays!  A different kind of fun!

I had such a good time catching up with everyone and seeing the babies!

And we end with a jammie shot from Sunday morning!

It was so nice to have all four of us in the same house!  Next time Katie will have to bring Jeff with her so it will be a complete group!

Love you guys!

P.S. The best part of my day was getting a text from Sarah that read. "Todays Oprah is about best friends and I just wanted to thank you for being my best friend."

How nice is that?!?!?!?!

Peace out!
