This past weekend we were able to take a day and a half off of work to spend the weekend skiing and relaxing with Joelle and Ryan. We rented a condo in Galena IL. We were discussing that this was really the first time that we have done this...taken a vacation with just the four of us.
The house was so cute. It had 2 bedrooms and a loft. Joelle and I had fun talking about how awesome it would be if we had kids and how they would sleep up in the loft. I can't wait for those days :)
The house also had an outdoor hot tub, which was amazing. It felt so good to ski and then come home and soak in the hot tub with a beer - F.A.N.T.A.S.T.I.C.

Joelle and I in front of the fireplace. Oh did I forget to mention, the condo also had a FIREPLACE!!! What more could we want? We may be returning next year :) It was a cozy little hideaway for us!
Just relaxing on the couch...you can't tell because it is dark but the view from these windows was incredible. Tons of tall, bare, snow covered trees....as far as you could see. So beautiful. However...I did forget to get a picture.

I was so thankful for this weekend to spend with Joelle and Ryan. We haven't been able to spend time like this for quite awhile and it was so fun! I love being goofy with Joelle and loved just soaking in the hot tub discussing whatever came to mind, having dance parties (that was Joelle and Shaun!!!), Singing in the car, making meals together, talking about kids and babies...
It was nice.
