Friday Face

Erika and I met at good ol' Illinois State.  We lived together at ISU during our last year of college.  I would love to go back to that piece of crap apartment on Phoenix St. for just one night and re-live the late nights, the parties, the talks, the jokes, the meals we shared.  It was such a fun time!  We made so many memories.

I am so thankful that the four of us still keep in touch and make the time to see each other.  Erika is one of the funniest people I know.  She is so quick and witty :)

She is also an amazing mother also...come on people, she makes HER OWN baby food!  Now that is some serious dedication!

What are you thankful for?    

I have a job, a home, a happy and healthy daughter, and a husband who makes me laugh 

 

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?  

Vanilla bean....on top of a big warm brownie :-)

What makes you laugh?  

Anything that shouldn't, like people falling or embarrassing themselves.  oh yeah, and farts.

 

What is something on your mind lately? 

If I'm really going to be able to fit in training for another half marathon and still make dinner every night.

Your life would be simpler if...  

I could be paid to be a stay at home mom

Who would you love to meet?

What is some advice you would offer people?  

take a little time everyday to be thankful.

What was the nicest compliment someone has ever given you?  

The parent of one of my students told me I was the best speech therapist her son had worked with, and that I related well to children.

What is your happiest childhood memory?  

Riding tricycles with my brother on our grandparent's driveway, pretending we were driving ice cream trucks.  We kept riding up and down, ringing our bells and stopping to ask our grandparents what kind of ice cream they wanted to buy.  They bought so much ice cream    that day :-)

What is something on your bucket list? 

                                                       To finish a sprint triathlon

In your opinion, what is the biggest waste of time?  

Worrying

 hand lotion and chapstick

 

You are most happy when...  

 holding my daughter :-)

What is your favorite holiday and why?  

It used to be Thanksgiving, all the yummy food and spending time with family without having to buy gifts.  BUT, now that I'm a mom, its Christmas again because I get to relive all the wonder and excitement of it through her eyes.

Also - I want to say Happy Birthday to Jackie!  We are celebrating tonight with her and Doug!

Cheers to the end of the week and the Valentine's Day Hershey Kisses I just bought today :)
