This past weekend Shaun and I went to Gurnee to spend some time with my family and to go to Ravinia to see the Counting Crows. We all made something yummy...I especially loved my Mom's mozzarella balls/basil leaves/cherry tomato mini shish-ka-bobs...they were the bomb (yes I just said they were the bomb)

I really love going to Ravinia. I love that it is an outside concert, I love all the people (GREAT people watching), I love the live music and I love that you can bring whatever you want to eat or drink. What I love the most is that it has become sort-of a family tradition (I love family traditions). Here are a few (okay quite a few) of my fav pics:

P.S. Thanks Dad for driving straight through from Colorado on Friday night and then still making it to Ravinia to hang with all of us crazy people :) hahaha...
OH! My Dad got a new car, a 1972 stingray convertible. It is pretty sweet. Shaun took me for a ride in it. It is my second favorite car that my Dad has had (my first was the black corvette convertible, sorry I have a thing for black cars!)
And, last but not least - Colin and Tracy brought Marley Barley over to spend some time with his brother before we departed back to P-town.

We had a great weekend, just wish it was longer...like everyone else in this world :)
OH!!! Here is my new idea for my blog (okay, okay, it wasn't my idea - I ripped it off of Stephanie Nielson at nieniedialogues.blogspot.com)
I thought it was such a great idea though! drum roll please........
Each Friday I am going to feature/interview a new person on my blog. It will be called "Friday Faces" -(name also stolen from NieNie dialogues)
So it isn't original, but I am really excited about it and I can't wait to get started on it!
XOXOXO - Lauren
