Weddings and DIY project

This weekend was very nice!  We got to relax a little, organize our house and get some projects done.  I also used my cosmetology/creative skills and did some wedding up-do's for a daughter of one of my co-workers/friends.  I also did her highlights a few weeks ago - which looked gorgeous with her curls!  She was a stunning bride :)

Here are some of the bouquets that her Mom made - I think they are just gorgeous.

Here is her adorable daughter Josie, who was sooooo cute :)

Josie and Grandma!
Their wedding was held outside and it was such a beautiful day.  85 and sunny, not a cloud in the sky.  I just love weddings, they make me happy! I wish I could do mine all over again.  I can't wait for some more of my friends to get married!  Oh and I also love, love, love doing wedding up-do's, it is just my thing.  You know how everyone has that "thing" that they are good at (everyone has one) that is just my "thing"

Saturday night we hung out with our friends Kim and Chris.  They came over and we ate pulled pork.  Shaun smoked it and it was FANTASTIC, so tasty!  We then played cards for a few hours and then had a drink at Kouri's.  We had a ton of fun hanging out with them :)  Kim is a Supervisor at the Ped's Surgery office and it is so nice to have someone that works with me who is the same age and no clinical background.  We have a lot in common :)   Just goes to show that us "young-ins" can hang in the healthcare management world :) hahaha

Sunday was spent recovering from Saturday night, cleaning, laundry, errands, etc... I am very proud of my latest project - check it out:

My mantle is my favorite part of my entire house and I just felt like I wasn't doing it justice.  I felt that something needed to add to the height.  All it took was some branches from our yard, a couple of cans of spray paint and the old vases from our wedding.  Voil-a!!!

I was pretty impressed, of course it looked good in my head but I wasn't too sure when I started putting the branches in the vases but it turned out looking pretty good!!

This week brings the RiverPlex tonight till 10:00, pizza on Tuesday with Logan and Andrea, Stone Country with Destiny on Wednesday, dinner with Harold and Shirley on Thursday and then Joelle and Ryder baby will be here on Friday (or early Saturday morning)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  This list was really just to remind my husband what is going on this week :)

Cheers!
