Date Nights

Tonight is date night and it is Shaun's week to plan, so I don't know what we are going to do.  I KNOW.....I am not in control of something...crazy isn't it? :)  So, before I have pics from tonight, I better post about our date night from last week (in which I was in control of!) 

Last week I took Shaun to Grandview drive it Peoria.  It is beautiful.

 

We got pita's from this place down the road and we took our food to a picnic table here and sat and ate dinner.  It was very peaceful and very nice.  I think it is important for couples to spend designated time for just the two of them.  Shaun and I have not been very good about this in the past.  Sure...we did things together as a couple once in awhile but most of our free time was taken up with group/family activities.  Which, don't get me wrong, I love hanging out in groups, especially with my family but Shaun and I never really carved out any time for ourselves.  So...my newest and brightest idea = weekly date nights.  Here is how it works:

1.  A night is picked out once a week as the "designated date night."

2.  Each week it switches back and forth for whose turn it is to plan the date

3.  No price tag attached, it can be in fact free!

That is about it, not too many rules :)
